WHO WE ARE
Letters of Light is a community of volunteers, advocates, and supporters who bring hope and encouragement to youth and adults recovering from eating disorders. We believe deeply in the importance of human connection, and in the impact a heartfelt, handwritten letter can have in recovery. Our team is comprised of people from many backgrounds, all with the same goal: to create a space where individuals feel seen, valued and not as alone, as they explore what recovery looks like for them. Through kindness, compassion and connection we hope to shed light into the lives of many in recovery.

WHAT WE DO
At Letters of Light, we inspire hope, compassion, and connection by writing and delivering handwritten letters of encouragement to individuals who are recovering from eating disorders. Our volunteers write messages that provide a small, yet significant, reminder that someone cares. We also produce a podcast devoted to community education, awareness of eating disorders, and stories that build understanding and support for people in recovery. Each letter and podcast episode is animated by our mission to uplift, empower, and bring a little light into someone’s day.
